A bit about me…
Welcome to my place on the internet! I’ve always been a creative junkie. From a young age I was obsessed with cartoons, comics, films, books, games – pretty much all things geeky and creative. So naturally after high school, with a passion for drawing, the most obvious career seemed commercial art, and I found myself pursuing a graphic design degree at Newcastle University. Four years later in 2000, degrees in hand and a bunch of new friends, I headed south to Sydney and entered the professional world of magazines. It was a steep learning curve filled with many up and downs.
The next 16 years included a lot of work and travel. I dabbled in branding and my first love illustration, and worked for a while next to the Queen’s castle in Windsor. I was even an English teacher in a little house in the rice paddies of Japan. But eventually I missed my design job and I returned to Australia.
In 2014, I decided to broaden my skillset and took a couple of years out to study 3D animation, visual effects and film.
These days I’m a freelance graphic designer in Sydney wondering what adventure lies in front of me next…. hmmm, maybe I’ll learn HTML.
